Canary Wharf Leasing App

Canary Wharf Group approached Stepladder to create a more robust solution to their existing methods of listing available office space within the Canary Wharf estate.

I was responsible for the UX/UI design throughout the development of the app, expanding the existing brand guidelines to include a more thorough style guide of UI elements. The development cycle included wireframing, Marvel prototyping and testing, design of all final responsive layouts and supply of all assets for front-end development. Currently awaiting launch on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Discovery

Pain points were identified through feedback from the property agents community and through an audit of the existing processes. Key findings from this research highlighted the need for a centralised, searchable database of accurate, up-to-date office availability, as well as quick access to relevant building facts and downloadable technical documents. The ability to easily access this information while 'on the go' was also a critical aspect of the solution.

Design process

I created user flows, wireframes and a Marvel prototype to test the initial concept before final designs were created. As responsive web app, every screen was designed across three key breakpoints and developed to work across all resolutions from desktop to mobile. Maintaining a consistant experience on a wide variety of devices and screen sizes was given consideration throughout the design process. Building floor plans, specifications and lifestyle imagery were also prepared and created inline with the overall visual style of the app.

Launch

A targeted marketing campaign was created to raise awareness of the app within the wider property agent community, including a prelaunch landing page, direct mail campaign and email campaign. The key campaign message was also used as an ownable hashtag #canaryintheknow that can be promoted through Canary Wharf's existing social media channels and accounts.
